We went out and took lots of footage of me skateboarding so that we could edit it together and fit it to a music track, Vampire Weekend - A-Punk.
I firstly went onto Final Cut Pro, brought in the music, locked it so that it wouldn't be affected by the editing of my video. I then put a Slug into place, this was so that I could then press "ctrlV" at every beat of the song, to produce a technique called Rhythmic Editing where each camera shot/scene changes at the beat of the song. This makes the video look more in time and clean and gives it a more professional look.
This is after the Slug has been added. I held down ctrl and then at every beat of the song pressed the V key. This split the blank video into sections which would hold parts of our footage and furthermore allow us to piece together a really neat music video.
I got some footage of me dancing and raving on a green screen, I took this into Final Cut Pro and the opened it from there, using Motion so that I could add a background to the green. I chose a simple blocked orange and black background so that I could see how to do it and so that it looked bright and vibrant.
I did this by going to the left tab, selecting library and then chosing a filter.
